About Us

Established in 2003, WHS Butterfly Farm is a private, family-run enterprise                                  created to promote local and international  wildlife  conservation programs                    for butterflies.

Our goals are:

· To  breed butterflies

· To release butterflies in the wild

· To promote butterfly awareness and conservation

· To sell butterfly related products

· To create jobs through sustainable development of wildlife

WHS Butterfly Farm is located at Barangay Pangi, 4 kilometers north of the town of Gasan in the island of Marinduque. The farm is easy to locate because it is along provincial road.

It is situated in a 12,000+  square meter coconut plantation interspersed with  fruit trees. Our butterfly “flight” house covers 800 square meters and is the biggest privately owned butterfly house in Marinduque.  Around the butterfly farm are host plants and flowering plants attracting many species of butterflies.

The farm is expecting to produce 100 - 500 pupae per week on a yearly basis. During this period, we offer  farm tours for visitors and enthusiasts. Visitors will also experience releasing butterflies in the wild. In our farm, 10% of  the pupae that hatches into butterflies everyday are released in the wild thus contributing to butterfly conservation.
